No seek complete, Alcohol 120% problem

Recently, I've been having problems backing up any ps2 game using Alcohol 120. I'd make an .iso image, but when it comes to burning the image, I get a "no seek complete" write error.

I searched the forums, and I tried updating the firmware for my dvd burner (LG GSA-4081B). I tried different media (memorex dvd-r) which gets past the "no seek complete" error, but Alcohol freezes after 100% and won't complete the project.

I'm not sure what to do next. Should I just return my burner for a new one? Should I get it serviced? Is it a dirty lense problem? (I have been able to make a dvd movie and burn an audio cd using nero). I've been using Verbatim datalife dvd-r's up till now, burning at 1.0X and have not had any problems before.

Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
