what is the problem you are getting? are you getting an error of some kind? either Alcohol 120 or DVD Decrypter should be able to create a backup of this game

It copies the game but the games become choppy and the sound doesn't work. I thought maybe it was the media, but the DVD+R's I'm using worked for other games like GATVC and Burnout 3. Just not spiderman?? Whatsoftware can take off the libcrypt, it's gotta be that I think.

iEvermore, i had EXACTLY the same problem when backing up Spiderman 2 (PS2)... when i tried it the first time, i burnt it at 4x speed and it kept on freezing up during swinging etc...
my question 2 u is what speed did u burn it at?
i found out that the reason why its freezes and was jumpy was because it is a high speed game, and the graphics move very fast, you need to burn it slowly to allow the laser to keep up... or something like that
ok, so this is how i got it to work...
1. use DVD Decrypter iso read mode to read it...
2. use DVD Decrypter iso write mode to burn it... but...
YOU HAVE TO BURN IT AT 1x SPEED...
yes the burn may take a while but it should work, (it did for me...)
i also suggest you use a dvd-r media, rather than a dvd+r, as mine works on -r, no problems :)
try that, and if it doesnt work then post another message and ill get back to you...

i used a "Grade A" PRINCO disc...
i dont understand... DVD Decrypter should allow burning at 1x speed...
im not sure about that, but im 100% sure you MUST do it at 1x speed, do it somehow...
and yes, you do use the mds, its pretty much the same...
try that and see how you go...
P.S. what version of DVD Decrypter are you using and what model is your dvd burner?

well i guess your stuck with a dvd+r only dvd writer...
there isnt much more that i can suggest to you, but if you must have spiderman 2 in your collection you have to do one of either three things...
1. fork out the cash and buy the game
2. find a mate with a dvd-r burner and burn it on theirs
3. buy an updated burner which supports +/- burning...
to me option 3 is out of the question, so look to achieve option 2, if not then u may have to consider option 1...
sorry i couldnt help solve your problem, but anymore queries you have just send a post, and ill be glad to help... :)

yer i think that option 3 was ur best bet, like u said it will help in future...
in case your next question is: what brand dvd burner should i get?
i would suggest a Pioneer DVR-107D
which is an 8x speed +/- burner, but doesnt burn dual layer...
i have one of these and find it the BEST for burning PS2 games
although they mite not be available anymore due to the DVR-108 dual layer replacing them, try 2 get a DVR-107, if not get the dual layer DVR-108...

yes leeborn is right
the Pioneer DVR-108 does:
SINGLE LAYER +/- r at 16x speed
SINGLE LAYER +/- rw at 4x speed
DUAL LAYER +r 4x speed
its fine for what you want it for anyways!
good luck with your choice...
