Hey, I'm new to this DVD ripping thing. And right now I want to get only the sound from the disc and then convert to either .wav or .mp3. How do I do it???

You can use AC3Dec to decode the Dolby audio track from the DVD to your HDD in WAV format. Then you can encode it into MP3 or whatever format you prefer. AC3Dec can be found from here:
