I read and read all the topics in here about how to open ports with router. Which i understood and will do next time i decide to actually buy the right thing which is router and not a switch which i got.

So the question is how do i open to ports 6881-6999 for torrents to speed up by lousy speed?
My switch is a Office connect dual speed switch 5 plus from 3com.
The switch is in another room where the adsl\cable router is which is plugged into the switch from another computer. From there i am also plugged in with my cable and another cable goes into another computer in another room. In another words there are 3 computers using internet all together. But usually its me....

So how am i suppose to open these ports over switch of windows for that matter?

And no i have no firewall or security as they are all turned off at the moment that is ;)

I live in Norway soo.... my default gateway is like 10.0.0.1 which is the isp provides.

ANYONE PLZ HELP ME OUT???

Im going to bed so when i wake up i hope someone has something that helps :(

uhhh a switch? no idea.

But you do not have to turn off all your firewall or security. I have my router port forward but have Windows XP sp2 firewall on, and Zonealarm on. DL at full DSL speed.

Never mind, i managed to open the ports at my cisco modem thing. But when i go and check it out it says the port is stealthed...or every port possible in my network is stealthed....

MY speed increased on SOME torrent files..yet it didn't increase on every file..its like only the small files get like 50kbs - 80kbs....im dissapointed...how can they be stealthed when i opend them...
