Downloaded DFFNY from a torrent site in a rar file, when i try to extract the 2 mdf and 1 mds file it extracts about 91% of the mdf file and comes up the messege .WRITE ERROR IN THE FILE DFFNY.MDF. PROBABLY THE DISC IS FULL. i have over 20gig available on my hard drive. it extracts the mds file no problem,

so i checked the mds file out in Alchol 120 and the file size was 4+gb so i thought id try burning that and see if it works so i extracted the onto my desktop from the winrar file and then using the Image burning wizard in alchol 120 burned it to dvd. i then put the dvd in my ps2 n my ps2 is not recognising it as a ps2 format disc.

i really really need someone to help me sort out this problem

best guess you are running a fat 32 file system on your pc hard disc and 4gb is the biggest file size it can handle,to get it to handle files over 4gb you need to be using a ntfs file system on your hard disc if your using win nt/2000/xp then you can convert from fat 32 to ntfs without formating but its a one way conversion you can't convert back without formating your hard drive

win 98 can't run a ntfs file system and fat 32 won't handle files over 4gb so can't realy help you with your problem

You burned the disc and put it in your ps2 and it sain it was not a ps2 format disc.
Did you use swap magic to boot it or a mod chip.
Or do you have any of these?

Dell 4600. Pentium 4 2.8Ghz
Ps2 with slide card + swap magic.
