i got this off ebay just a second ago for under 10 bux,( a 50 ft, i think it was a good deaL)

could you tell me, is this the right kind of cord to use to plug into network adapter from dsl modem?

Depends on the port for your dsl modem; is it a pass-thru or crossover? My guess is it will prolly work.

im almost positive its not a crossover, i use some sort of patch cable now...... i tried using a crossover cable it didnt work

matrix infiniy modded ps2 (broken, burnt out PS1 fuse)
xbox(freshly softmodded with krazies)xbmc dash. Stock HDD.
www.norcalmods.com did my ps2 mod, cheap n fast:)

a patch cable iz a crossover cable. its used to connect directly. PC to PS2.

A patch cable and a crossover cable are different. On a patch cable, pins 1 thru 8 are wired the same on both connectors (the colors match up). On a crossover cable, one pair of wires is crossed with another. You can tell the difference when looking at both connectors.
