I get an illegal command message

I am using 1 click copy dvd, to copy my dvd onto the desktop. Then I use the same program to burn it onto a dvd-r. (I am also using the dvd43free to get rid of the copyright)It copies almost until it has the whole movie then says; write error, illegal command.... and it won't finish copying. what do I do, or what have I done wrong?
