i am trying to copy my vhs(pal) tapes to my hard drive of my pc (2800 athlon, 512mbRAM, windows XP) using a extenal USB video capture card (uses winfastPVR). i then have a choice of ulead moviefactory 2.5 or sonic myDVD to build and burn my dvd.

what format is best for capturing my videos?
and how do i keep the audio in sync with the video?

and how come myDVD and moviefactory cant use my capture card when to capture video?

i have muddled with the settings and stuff but i dont know what i am doing, and the manufacturers websites are no help. any help or links to a guide would be greatly appreciated.
