I need to resample the audio track of an AVI. I need to change it from 48 kHz, 2-channels stereo to 44.1 kHz (vdub options: Sampling change: 44.1 kHz; No precision change; No channels change).

Virtualdub gives an error 'The requested audio compression is not compatible with the input format. Check that the sampling rate and channel count of the input match those of the requested format'.

Did I do something wrong? Or do need a different application ?

(I hope this question is not too stupid, I'm a newbie on this issue)
