Hi, I'd just like to know if the PStwo will work with modchips like DMS3+ or Matrix Infinity? I know it'll be hard to mod, but I just want to know if it's possible. DMS4 can't play backups, only homebrew, unless an unofficial flash gets released, and I'm not sure I can go with that. Might have to wait a long time, some joker might release a fake which could mess up the whole thing, etc. etc. And does anyone know exactly when the DMS4 chip will get released? I heard it was the 13th-14th of October, but that's already long gone. Thanks!

Thanks, but it's exactly like DMS4, a homebrew only chip, which needs a flash to make it work with backups, as far as I know. I'm not interested in those, coz even with the flash, they have to sort out codebreaker/armax support, pal/international fix, some psx fixes, etc. etc.

Qaz, what are you saying. On DMS's website on their spec page they say they their chip will boot, and I quote...

"DMS4 will automatically detect whether a PS1, PS2 CD-R, DVD-R, DVD+R, DVD-RW, DVD9 or DVD+RW (containing Homebrew Elf's), original domestic CD/DVD is inserted and then boot it without any interaction from the user."

Maybe the language is confusing at the last part where they speak of "Homebrew Elf's", but the DMS4 loads everything you could pretty much want.

Im not so sure about that DMS4 will boot almost anything....

I think the Matrix Infinity would be better, knowing that it can boot any backups etc, and if you chect their website, it specifically says that it works on the new PStwo. (will only work if the chip is upgraded so that it is compatible with the new PSTwo)

The DMS developers claim their chip works on the new PS2, they have a video where the PStwo is running development software, their website says their chip boots up backups in all those media types.

The DMS4 chip is not out yet,the Matrix Infinity is and seems to be able to do everything the DMS4 chip can do.I think the DMS team are biters, they just took the same idea off Matrix Infinity.I wouldn't pay the extra money for the same thing a Matrix Infinity will do.
