I wish someone would write an article and then leave a link to it explaining the disadvantages of useing memorex brand media. It seems like 90% of the newbies having playback problems are useing memorex media. Just a thought.

It would be a short article. They just inconsistent in quality. Some are fine, but it is roll of the dice. There are so many good discs out there, why take the chance? I bought a 100 Ritek Ridata DVD+R for $46 at NewEgg.com.
Here is an article I just picked up here.

When you get some discs it is a good idea to check you recieved what you paid for with DVD Identifer.

Here's an even better deal. http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-132-344&depa=0 Ricohjpn $29 US for a 100 pk shipped, they are all I use. Back to my first post, what I meant was instead of explaining to newbies why memorex suck everytime they tell you that they are useing them when they're haveing playback problems it would save a lot of time and be a lot easier to just give them a link to an article telling them why. 9 times out of 10 when I ask people having freezing problems what media they are useing, they report back memorex. Memorex should write on their package "NOT FOR VIDIO REPRODUCTION".

Those are the same I bought at the end of August. Nice to see the price drop. They shipped free last time and no rebate, still it is $7 less. I think I will get another since I have only 2 left. I need to get some dl to try out my burner. I have not done any yet.
