Hi,
Apolgies if this problem has been dealt elsewhere but I can't find answer elsewhere.
When DVDshrink starts to encode, its gets to about 60% of the way through when a message pops up saying I'm out of memory.
I'm using Windows XP using a pentium 4 1.7ghz, have 512RAM & 80G hard drive with approx 55% free space. As someone completely new to all this, can anyone suggest a solution around this?
It's my first time using this and I'm using "Summer Of Sam" as trial DVD to get to grips with it..obviously with little luck so far.
What I'm doing is:
Ripping DVD with DVD Decrypter then using DVD Shrink.
I'm clicking on re-author and dragging files under Main movieinto DVD Structure Then I click on compression settings to remove what audio I don't want(I only keep AC3 5.1ch-english)
Then I click on backup.
When the options come up, I've selected iso image file as back-up target and then tried with creating DVD file but both ways after I click on OK & it starts to encode, it comes up Out Of Memory between 55% & 60%.
Just want to say thanx for the help. I tried as you said but, at first, it told me it was denied access to the drive the DVD was in. I moved disc to external drive and everything is fine now.
Just wanted to let you know that after your help, and some sleep, I awoke this morning to try out my first burned DVD.
I don't have Nero6 but Ulead moviefactory(which came free with my DVD-rewriter) which burned the disc for me. And it played fine on my dvd player(ok my modded xbox) and the quality&sound, for me, is fantastic.
I'm now looking forward to backing up my DVD's without worry. Cheers.
