1: Ok are them two(or is it one program) used to boot games that swap magic won't, if so how do I do that?

2: To boot dvd rips do you use the cd version or dvd version of swap magic with breaker pro because unfortunately my cd version of swap magic doesn't even make it to the insert game screen and i havent got my replacement yet :'(

3: Will swap magic with slide card play downloaded games(Im not downloading even on broadband it takes a while)
If it will play how do I go about this, if its NTSC will I need to patch it?
(you may wonder why I ask, well im not downloading but if I come accross anyone who can download full dvd games then I will acquire them from there)

4: Is breaker pro used to boot PS1 backups, if so how do I go about this?

ok i will try to answer your questions
1. cd and dvd loader are the same program, you burn cd loader to cdr and boot it with your swapmagic cd, dvd loader is a modified version of cd loader that you burn to dvdr and boot with your swapmagic dvd, to use cd/dvd loader you boot the the correct version of swapmagic depending on which loader your using and swap for cd/dvd loader by flip/slide and press x cd/dvd loader boots if you need any of the submenu options press x now to get the sub menu, then select the one you want and press x again(returns you to the cd/dvd loader screen), now press eject and insert your swapmagic dvd, press eject to send back in, wait for it to say ps2 dvd in lower left of tv screen, when that appears press x, wait for it to say swap by ea method, at this prompt swap for backup by flip/slide and press x, your game should now boot

2. to boot dvd rips you need to use the swapmagic cd and use its toc refresh feature using the breaker pro disc ae a toc disc

3. if the game is swapmagic compatable then it will boot it, if your tv supports the ntsc tv signal then you won't have to patch it, if your tv don't support ntsc then you will most likly have to patch the image file or find some other way of comverting the signal

4. as far as i know you boot the breaker pro disc then swap for ps1 backup by flip/slide and press x

Thank you very much, that is me sorted now...

Just need my replacement Swap Magic CD and a breaker pro disc. aAnd of course im going to download the DVD/CD loader.

One more question devil hunt.

Ok I like RPG's and ahve FF8 in my drawer, i had the others but really i got to the end and cdnt get the gold chocobo in FF7 that happened twice, 9 got to the end got smacked and didnt go back..

Anyways.. this applies to PS1/2 games, how do i play multi disc games like say FF or star ocean till the end of time with swap magic, as in FF it asks u to swap the discs in game b4 u can save. I dnt know if star ocean does that but is it justa simple matter of using the slide card when im prompted to change disc and swap them over and hit x or w/e to carry on the game with the next disc.

As i know if its not spinning then it will be fine, but i got curious and try to remove the MGS3 demo and it sunded as if the ps2 was about to take off. But anyways do you have any insight into this issue?

as my understanding of swapmagic goes if you had to swap the disc then you would have to use the swapmagic disc again to boot your backup so don't think you could play a multi disc game that way, as for star ocean i have no idea as i have never played that game so don't know if it allows you to save between discs or not, apart from that swapmagic won't load ps1 games anyway

Yeah I know it wnt boot ps1, sure you told me that I need breaker pro :p

Anyways thats a bit of a bummer, I mean square are bound to releaase more multi disc RPG's, im sure FFXII will be huge. However thanks for the info.
