How do I now that my Xbox is flashed or chipped?

I bought a used xbox, the person i bought it from said it was modded. but how do i find out if there is an chip inside or if only the bios have been flashed?

PS. i do not have any switch to turn on & off the bios.

or are there any switches on the underneath of the console? any other lights u an see on the side panels?


or u can alsways open it up but u might find a a cheapmod inside if it is modded

When i start my xbox....'Xecuter 2' appears down on the screen....does that mean it is chipped? Or is it flashed??????


I need to know if I can play games online or not befre i bye the starter-kit.

do i need to download Slayers v2.6? i allready have tools and games on my xbox. will all this be lost if i re-flash the Xbox? and what is better with Slayers v2.6 and where can i get this????

Yes the xbox is working just fine, it is either chipped or flashed. i can play backup-games and other stuff. but how do i know if it is flashed or chipped??

take it a part and look inside if you see a chip then there you go.
no chip then its flashed
also boot the machine with the dvd tray open if it boots to a mini linux screen then you have a UDE softmod

***on a side note...all modded xbox's will not have Xecuter or Matrix inside under the Xlogo...

It can even appear stock and have a green X with microsoft underneath it.
