After scratching off the lacquer surrounding the VIAs, can one simply draw a trace using a conductive pen (silver) to the copper ring? (Then a solder point can be made anywhere on the conductive trace..?)

Or must a wire be placed into the hole to make contact, and then be soldered? ie, a feed-through VIA hole.

What's the easiest method of soldering a VIA hole?

1. Fill with solder first, then attach wire?
2. Place wire (that's thin enough) into hole, then solder?
3. Fill hole with flux first, then solder, then wire?

Etc. etc..

Thanks!
