Hello.

I am a bit of a newbie but i seem to be running into a bit of a wall. I have been using DVD shrink 3.2, and Nero Ultra 6.0 to burn. Almost every disc I use gets right to the last couple of tracks and starts freezing up. Now I have tried two burners, several types of media, and the results are always the same. Sporadically I get a good burn, and most of the time it does this. Also, the bad discs give me a data error: cyclical redundancy error in DVD shrink if I try to read it after burning. I am currently using Memorex DVD+R 4x Thermal Inkjet printables with a LiteOn dual 8x DVD+/-R/RW (it is a combo drive that also burns cds.) Please and thank you to anyone who can help.

What are you trying to back up (game or movie)? Use DVD Shrink for movies and DVD Decryptor for games. Also, did you install the latest firmware for your burner? You need the latest firmware so your burner will recognize different types of media.

I am trying to backup dvds, specifically farscape and some others, but my trouble is that no matter what media I use, or whether I burn with dvd decryptor or Nero, the last few tracks start skipping.

If you are trying to burn DVD movies, you are in the wrong forum.
