i recently tried to backup my movie, the day after tomorrow using dvd shrink and then burning it with decrypter. after serval attempts, i kept receiving the same error as follows:

I/O ERROR
DEVICE [1:0:0] DVDRW IDE 1008 0055 F:ATA
CDB: 2A 00 00 07 88 A0 00 00 20 00
INTERPRETATION WRITE (10) 0 SECTORS 493728 ? 433759
REASON: THE SEMAPHORE TIMEOUT PERIOD HAS EXPIRED.

I made sure my settings for dvd shrink and decrypter were set per scuba steve's instructions. i haven't had any problems in the past. i'm running xp pro with sp 2 and also (had) roxio easy cd and dvd creator 6 on my computer. i've never had a problem before this. i did remove roxio, reinstalled shrink and decrypter and set my IMAPI CD-Burning COM Service to disabled with no luck.

i'm curious if anyone can tell me if this error is caused by a bad original disk, blank disks or is something screwed up on my computer?
