Hey how's it goin yall,
My problem deals with the FMV intros and cutscenes in my latest backups. I've backuped dozens of games sucessfully but I neved encountered this particular problem. It began with my copy of Time Crisis 3. The game loads and plays without problem, but when it comes to the cutscenes during gameplay(ex. Story mode)
it'll play like the first four or five seconds of the scene, stop suddenly and go to a black screen, then start you off on the next stage. This happens for all cutscenes including the ending. But other than that the game plays nicely.
Next I backed up MK:Deception which again loads up OK(And when I say OK I mean a green then blue screen using Swap Magic 2.0 DVD) but during the intro movie (with Raiden, Shang Tsung, and Quan Chi), i'll be lucky to see at least half of it without it cutting off on me and takin me to the title screen. I've also noticed some audio slowdown so I'm hoping that it was just a bad burn, but 5 coasters later I'm starting to get a little frusturated.
I then attempted to backup X-men Legends which again loaded up OK(Same as MK:Deception) but again manages to cut all of the intro screens short. I've tried cleaning the ps2 lens, my DVD drive lens, adjusting the white cog in the ps2, and three different burning programs(Nero, Alcohol 120%, DVD Decrypter).
Heres what i'm usin:
Version 7 PS2 No-Solder Mod
Swap Magic 2.0 DVD
Pacific Digital LDW-811s 8x
TDK DVD-R (25 pack from Costco.)
Burnin' at 2x (Won't go any slower for some reason)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance.
