I downloaded the PARANOID version before it was released, and haven't gotten my paycheck yet to get my real copy. I can't seem to pick up hookers on this one...is there a special trick this time around or was the paranoid version a censored version(seems weird that it would be censored since the hookers talk to me and ask if im looking for a good time but never get in, and also the ridiculous amount of vulgarity in the game)? I hope its just this copy, because if they took that feature out of my regions copy(USA) I will be pissed.

also, if it is a different region or a censored version or something, and say i get 10% into the game before im able to pick up my copy, will my saves still work? like if i get 10% through, then start playing on my usa bought, or my backup of my usa version will i be able to start at 10%? or since its a different version will it read as a different game and make me start over?

before anyone bothers checking for me...i found out that the paranoid version is the usa version, and for some reason it just didnt work the first couple times i tried to pick a hoe up, but its working now.

For the question about transferrign different region saves, it used to be pretty easy on a few of the PS1 games, with something like changing SLUS_Gamename (for US) to SLES_Gamename (for uk). Though I'm really not all too sure how this is done these days, if you find a way of comparing the saves, you should be able to figure it out.

Even if you save two identical new games, one on your foreign copy and one on your UK copy, assuming the save format hasn't changed between games, you could crack out the hex editor, and compare two games with identical charachteristics, to see which parts in particular might be US/EUR/JAP specific,i.e. if the difference is in a certian file and not just the name of a file.
