Hi - I am considering an investment in a Dual format and Dual Layer dvd writer - any comments on this model Liteon will be appreciated.

Ive also replied in your thread on PS2OWNZ, but again here goes... dont buy a 16x drive... the NEC ND 3500a is perfect if your computer litterate as you can grab it for 70 bucks (OEM). 16x burning will be buggy, and media will be expensive... 4x is all the faster you need to burn and 4x media is cheap

Hi - I was not intending to Write at 16X - surely it is variable? 16x is just the max? If its not variable then I would not do it either.

its a good drive, overlooked the fact its 16x but i ment do not buy the drive beacause it can write that fast.
