I want to buy a bulk amount of DVD-R discs but I do not know what brand will work the best and that I kind find the cheapest. I want to use it for a stand alone DVD system. What kind should I buy and where should I get them? Thanks.

I bought some cheap brand originally and had all kinds of problem with backed up movies. I recently bought a 100 pack of princo DVD-r and they have worked fine for over 20 copies.

I've been using DVDPro and Accu and some other generic. The only brand that's compatible with most players is DVDPro which has a white coat on the top and it's great to have.

Last time I bought 90 pack for $82, it could be cheaper now at: www.cdrdvdrmedia.com

Take care!

ive used over 500 riteks and the only problem i had was when i flashed down to 1.31official from 1.33 official on my dvr104 to get 2x burns. 2 in 10 movies would freeze at the end scene. im back to 1x burns but they all work.
Only 1 coaster out of the 500

If u live in Europe and if u want to buy cheap disk in a Bulk amount pls try with E-net distribuation. They have very good reputation and for shipping and prices. As my expeirence I burn datawrite without porblem..it doesnt shows 2x on the top of the disc but it does write 2x speed:D without any porbo with Nero.
Good Luck!

Not to break any rules or make anyone angry with a redundant posting--I'm looking for the same info but for reliable 4x DVD-R media. I'd appreciate a pointer, since I'm betting this has been posted many times (sorry).
