Hi, i'm new to the ps2 modding scene and i was thinking of getting this chip http://www.modchip.ca/store/customer/product.php?productid=16136&cat=268&page=
Will this be better then a fliptop? what are the pros/cons of this compared to a flip top

ya the magic chips I heard are really good...I'm currently using a mod-chip in my PS2 as well, except I don't know which chip I have. Reason is because I got it 4 years ago and back then I had no clue what the hell I was talking about...LOL..well, I can say that it's never given me any problem whatsoever...boots everything game I've ever put into it, no swapping or anything needed....I've never tried the fliptop/swap trick methods so I can say anything about that, but a lot of people on this board seem to like it

Plan On Getting A Magic V Chip
Plan on getting a NEC 3500A or 3510A (whats the differance?)
Plan on getting some Ritek G04 (what is better + or -
