hey was up! I have a question, what is the best low tech method to clean and possibly remove some scratches on a dvd, I've heard using toothpaste might work, will this mess up my dvd burner? has any tried this method is so does it work? and have you seen any changes on your burner> thanx,,,

try the cd buffer with solution, its a spinning contraption that buffs out or reduces size of scratch i haven't used on my own cds but i've seen it been used

Wipe the cd or dvd from the centre to the outer edge.
A good solvent to use is isopropanol, which is normally the solvent packaged with the cleaning kits.
