Ripper 2 Deluxe DEV mode questions

Hello everybody,

Last year i've got my ps2 (satin silvery model v9?) chiped with the ripper 2 deluxe.
Now I want to try to run some software (like the divx player) from my memorycard, but it doesn't seem to work :(.
I can get the divx player (1.28) installed on the memcard, but that's it!
Accoarding to the 'manual' you need to press the triangle for when (re)starting the PS2 to start in DEV mode, but until now, I tried all possible combinations, and nothing worked. (even sitting up-side down didn't do the trick for).
I downloaded and burned all the software as described on the ripper website (which doesn't excist anymore).
Anyone with a suggestion here / work-around here?
