hi i have been hearing loads of people saying something about changing your ps2 disc speed is this true do u have to do it ?

it has helped some people have quicker load times and less graphic drop out on games like gta:sa by changing the drive speed from slow to fast on there ps2

Ive tried to change my PS2 speed but it just resets whenever I restart my PS2. How do I make the change last?

im not positive but do you have you memory card in when you reset because there is a file on it called system configuration...... maybe thats why it resets
