DELL Laptop wont play my Backups!

Good Day,

My DELL Laptop wont read my DVD Backups.
I do them with DVD-R & DVD+R, no success.
My stand alone DVD reads them.
When I try to check in my D Drive, which is my DVD
Rom in my laptop it wont even display the files on my backup( Audio_ts & Video_ts ). Like if my DVD Rom wont recognise that I inserted a DVD in it. Any Ideas ?
the dvd rom is a: Sony CRX830E KDK3

Have you tried to contact DELL? And what program are you using to play the backup?
