want to cut a DAT file

I'd like to know how to cut a DAT file and to save as MPEG file...
many downloaded softwares didn't work...

Any user friendly software there for this?
(I'm bit new to softwares... )

First, the AVSEQ01.DAT movie must be converted into a video.MPG file (see the 'sticky' threads to know what a .DAT, is use VCDGear 'dat --> mpg' to convert).
Second you can use TMPGenc File__MPEG Tools___Merge & Cut or 'select range' as I wrote in my 'sticky' thread "100% method.." for dividing a mpg file.
Is this enough user friendly?
