I have just joined this forum and I have been reading most of the post about the PS2 boot thing. What I really want to know is that do I have to have a original of any of the CD?s you ppl are talking about? I have made back up copies of HD Loader, mem card exploit, swap magic, Mortal Combat Deception, and a PS2 boot disc. The only original I have is this Action Replay Max CD and from what I heard that doesn?t work at all because the CD will not stop spinning. Help me out if you can PLEASE.

Great, get save builder from the downloads section on that site.
Then you can the make your own .max hdloader exploit which you can transfer onto your memory card using your jump drive =)

I went to that site and there isn't any downloads there. I also been to this site: http://www.ps2savetools.com/download.php?op=viewdownloaddetails&lid=74&ttitle=PS2_Save_Builder
I found one there, now if you don't mind. Could you give me a walk through on what to do?
About 2 hours ago I posted what is above, but I was just messing with the program and I just made a power save for AR Max with all the files that I needed for the HD Loader. Is that all I need on there?
Also... I found out it saved it as a PWS file not a cbs file. Is there a way I can convert it to cbs?

Another NOOB here. I bought the network adapter, and I have a harddrive. Since I don't have a modchip, I'll need to boot HD Loader off of a memory card. Is this the exploit you all are talking about? I can transfer from my USB jump drive to the memory card? If so, what other programs should I get ready? Does anyone have a recommend list of programs I should have on my HD/MC? I'll probably be looking to network my PS2 as well.
Thanks for any advice given. If it helps, I also have access to someone else's modified PS2, so I can transfer what I need off a burned CD on that PS2 to a memory card.

yes, that would be the easiest way.

Thanks. I found a tutorial on the PS2OWNZ forum, but I can't download it until my five day probational period is up. %*@)$*>
Just off hand, what programs do you recommend installing for the PS2? I understand there's an FTP program as well? Thank you.

I have a networked ps2.I have a original Hd loader cd and don't want it to get scratched. Is it possible to upload a cracked version of HD loader to the hard drive using HDL Dumb. Then installing it to the mc from the hard drive using HD loader disk one last time.Or will it overwrite my server files on my mc?

Its possible I think, but whats the point of doing it the long way if your Ps2 is networked?
Just follow the FTP link I posted.
You can send the files directly to the MC.

Now i tried to load files to the MC but it says "Unable to open directory".I am still able to save games so the MC is fine.I don't know what i am doing wrong or how to fix it.I've seen this problem posted before but with no way to fix it.Can anybody help?

Yes and it was working fine.I even went through the process again still nothing.FlashFXP connects fine just will not open the directory.The right window is blank and using commands does not help.
