Ok...I'm new at the encoding process but it is now my responsibility at my company. My duties include ripping the VOB file and then encoding a DL and STRM file for use on our VOD site.

I keep encountering a couple of issues with the run time of the movies that are being encoded.

1. the movie ends abruptly at some point. it may be 10 minutes in or 80 minutes into the feature. It can occur on either the DL and/or the STRM files. Whatever the case, the full length of the movie isn't encoded. I can re-rip the file and sometimes the problem is corrected.

2. either one of the files does not allow me to FF, REW, Stop, etc. the full file in terms of running time is there, just cannot use the player functions.

I currently use smart ripper 2.41 for the rip and a MS-DOS Batch for the wmp encoding.

Any assistance/feedback would be appreciated
