DVD-R Or DVD+R for my back ups?

I have been reading a lot of posts but I have a DVD+R burner, Can i burn backups with this for my PS2? My ps2 is the new Slim one and it says on the box it reads + and - dvdrs. Any recomendations for media, it seems the ritek g04s only make -'s, is this true?

your ps2 should read +r. you are correct in that the g04's are only -r, but here are some +r (ritek and ridata are the same thing): http://www.newegg.com/app/ViewProductDesc.asp?description=17-132-325&depa=0
