MPEG-VCR audio problem

When using MPEG-VCR on some, not all, of the movies I convert from 44.1 kHz to 48 kHz, the sound gets farther behind the video as the movie plays. I am conveting them to burn on dvd with DVD-LAB. Any help with this?
