v220 mobile phone tools is driving me crazy!!

Hi, this is my 1st time using a motorola phone (previously had always been using nokia). Anyway i was just wondering if anyone out there experience the same problems as me when using the mpt?

i got a cd-rom that comes with my v220. But after installing the software, i cant seem to be able to use it. For one, the modem is always "initializing..." emmm.. i wonder why? But the program can still load. After the program loads i am able to select pictures and edit mp3 files but i am not able to make any transfer. A msg box pops up that says unsupported format. I have read the help files, .wav is a supported format... I don't understand why?

I was wondering if i could tell is there anything wrong with my USB cable or the USB port. Is there a way to tell? Like will the phone light up or something when the cable is connected to the phone?

i really don't know how to use the phone, it's driving me crazy, i had been trying for 5 hours!! i hate motorola phones!!
