I'm having a problem with Nero. I've used 5 Ritek CD-R and they all hang at 18% when I'm trying to burn a music cd. Does anyone know what's going on?

Does this occur with any other media?
Do the Riteks hang on the same file(s) or all that you try?

Alright I just used some Verbatim CD-R and they burned the music files just fine. I put the Riteks back in and tried burning the same music files and it stopped at 18%. I then tried burning some data onto the Riteks and they worked just fine. I'm confused right now.

Welcome to the wild world of media :)
Have you updated to the firmware for your drive? That might help.

Well the thing is I don't know how to update my firmware and I'm not even sure if I want to just yet. Everything was working fine before and I just want to know what's going on first before I do anything else. I appreciate your help though Nephilim.

Could be a bum batch of discs. I'm just about through my 100 spindle of Ritek 52X CDRs and not a single problem with them.
