My firends version 4 ps2 won't boot back up games. It goes to the boot screen then turns blue and then goes to a black screen then stops. i have the same version of ps2 and i have never had this problem.

Some v4's can read + some can't
That could be a problem

I use dvd-r discs and all my backup copies work on my ps2 but none of my firends work.
