i just installed my flip top cover for v.9/10 today. after i installed it, i tried booting the swap discs on my ps2 but nothing happened. it just went to the browser screen. In addition, i tried to load my ps2 games, but they won't work. it says disc-read error. so now i have a ps2 taht can't read anything. when i insert discs, a loud spinning / clanking noise is heard.
the metal side is susposed to be facing towards the cover rite? and the side that is all white faces the disc.
i tried pushing down on the ps2 flip top cover while attempting to play my ps2 orginial games, and it worked as long as i held the middle part of flip cover down.(middle of disc) could it be that the the circular piece is too loose?
i see, my friend has the same problem. try tightening the screws that hold the fliptop on. if that doesn't work, you might have to just put a weight on top of it.
