Isn't it easier just to work with iso files than bin/cue files?

I've read many posts about bin/cue files and it seems so complicated. Is it not easier just to work with iso files and use isobuster to extract data and go from there? I'm a beginner at all this stuff so really looking for simple instructions to follow.
