First off, Im new here but not to the scene, but this place has been very useful to me lately so Ive joined up to ask a question.
I have a neo 2.2 Chip in a V5 Ps2 (yeah neo 2.2, OLD lol)
Anyways, I can boot CD-Rs but not DVDr. So this HDLoader looked nice. I took an old Maxtor I had, 30gb, loaded some games, found some work, some dont.
Im using the "Free"HdLoader from ps2ownz, loaded with the Ps2Menu-k Exploit (used a CDR installer to get it to work)
Question is, I loaded some old CDR games I had onto the drive (DVDRipped, from a long time ago)
They run fine off of CDRs when I use Gameshark to load them, but I ripped the ISOs using Acohol 120% onto my PC and used WinHIIP to load the images onto my Ps2HDD. Off of HDLoader they wont boot! The games and their results are:
Jak And Daxter - Mode 3 - Boots up to intro video and sound plays but video and controls freeze. Other modes just go black after SCEA logo.
Tekken 4 - All Modes - Seems to start, screen flickers as if somethings about to appear and then nothing, BUT The Yellow HDD Light pulses like somethings being read.
Soul Calibur II - All Modes - Goes strait to black, then nothing.
Fantavision II and Virtua Fighter 4 - Mode 3, both acctually work ok :-P
Hot Shots Golf Fore (FullDVD) I just cant get this shit to stop freezing after the Clap Hands Logo.
Any help with the non working ones would be greatly appreciated. Also I loaded them all as DVDs and also tried loading them on the HDD as CD (again using WinHIIP) Same results on either one.

P.S. Forgot to ask also, would loading a game with lets say Mode 2 and 3 enabled at the same time have any different effects?
