The thing is, i use dvdshrink to rip the dvd onto my hard drive and then burn using nero ,i want to keep the DVD's on my hard drive as backup but having the dvd's at 4.7gb on my hard drive is using up to much space.

What i want to be able to do is convert them to AVI thus saving space.Ive got Winavi converter and have tryed to convert .VOB to .AVI but it keeps telling me that i have no audio or something.

Can anyone help me out with this one, as its doing my head in.

ps. when they've changed to AVI is it easy to change to mpeg for re-burning and will i lose quality.

hi, i was wondering if u knew about how to copy AVI video files onto a dvd disc as mine doesn't seem to be workin, jus askin u cause i seen u mentioned about AVI files, and i can't seem to find anyone that knows about it or what do. thanks
