Hi all, I've searched this and many other ps2 hdd related forums but can't find a straightforward answer to this question:

How can I use my hdd to backup my mem card?

My MC is very bloated right now and I want to be able to get all my saves off of there. First of all, I have a Magic 3 modchip so I don't need any weird hacks to run discs. Secondly, the threads I've read with hdloader memory exploit doesn't really apply to me because of my mod chip.

I've heard of ps2menu-k, but I'm having trouble finding a tutorial that doesn't require me to recompile a huge number of files and utilities that I don't really need. (I don't want to run an FTP to transfer to my ps2, that's just annoying and "slow". (I rather rip out the HD and attach it to my external usb2 box).

Secondly, I was wondering if there is any program that allows the Ps2 to read files off the network so that it could (in theory) read the image off of a computer rather than having its own hard drive...

Thanks in Advance,
