hey..just wondering if anybody here has tried the leda or optodisc brand dvd-rws that a bunch of sites are selling right now for around a buck a piece

these okay for data and testing movies?
hows the quality
etc. etc. etc.

any comments are appreciated and thanks in advance.

I have purchased Leda at SF/Oakland computer show and I have made backups of 8 Movies (16 Dvd-r) with only 2 coasters. I should be receiving accu, optodisc next week. Princo did not work at all. Will reply back on the status of the accu & optodisc.

Sony DRU500a ver 1.0D, Pent IV 2.4, 512mb, 40G HD, 80G Firewire HD

I've tried the optodisc dvd-rw purely for data and so far everything has worked fine.

alright sounds good, i ordered them now...

i'm not interested too much in the long time data storage on them, me n a friend are just using the dvd-rw's for large fast and reusable data transportation overseas :D

I've tried Optodisc with a Sony500a writer and a Sony dvd player and they work fine. Also work fine with my GE dvd player.
