I recently constructed a DVD using DVD-Lab Standard 1.3. It has 21 chapter points, a main menu, and two submenus which link to the chapter points. I burned with Nero and sent these out to about 150 people. At least 40 have reported that they play fine.

About 20 people have reported the exact same symptom: the DVD plays fine thru the fourth track, then either freezes or starts to stutter at or in the 5th track. The problems occur on at least five different player brands and a couple of computer drives as well. I have tried sending replacements to the same people from two different DVD burners and four different types of media, a mix of DVD+R and DVD-R, and the symptom re-occurs.

So my conclusion is that the compatibility issue must be in the DVD-Lab construction.

A friend told me he has experienced problems with DVD Lab DVDs when using left-right links in addition to up-down links and suggested I remove left-right menu links as a possible solution. I am wondering if anyone here has had a similar experience, or can suggest any other possible causes for the problem.
