Hi, I'm REALLY new to this. When I put a DVD-RW to read in my computer, this is what happens. I hear a weird sound, like the DVD player is trying to read the disk, but it sounds like it's skipping over it. Then it stops after about 2-3 times. I then open my DVD player and press play and nothing happens. When I go to the D: drive and click on it, it says "insert disk into drive." So I assume my DVD player isn't reading these disks for some reason. I have two questions: 1) How can I get my DVD player to read them, is there a driver I can download? and 2) Is there a DVD player that is good for viewing all kinds of movies (including from DVD-RW disks). I am using WINDVD and haven't like it for some time, anyway. I am suspecting that the DVD player I have may be precoded not to read these? I don't know why else it's not picking it up. I can play "normal" ones ok. The regions are the same: America. I have Windows XP.
