How do I burn an Mpeg to a CD-R so I can watch it on a dvd player. I've heard conflicting stories. My DVD player supports VCD format. I've heard that most Mpegs are already in VCD format and some have to be converted before you can burn it, but converting effects the quality, How do I know if I can just burn it to a CD-R?

When you use Nero or Easy CD Creator, they detect if the MPEG-1 is already VCD compatible. Good guide how to burn VCDs with Nero is here:

yeah already I tried it on Nero and it said it wasn't so I guess I have to convert it first hey? I check out that link.
