hey folks,

i have used TMPEG encoder to convert some .avi files od a 6-piece documentary series to MPEG. the avis are about 350 MB big and include video and sound. after encoding, the sound plays for about 10 seconds and then just stops.

whats going on? how can i fix it?

also: i wanna burn the MPEGs to a dvd and create a menu with NVE...the converting and encoding takes longer in NVE than with TMPEG so thats why i do it this way. i just 4000 kbps as bitrate and the 350 MB avi is now 1300 MB MPEG. if i want to fit all 6 videos on a dvd, i have to reduce further. what could i use to have still a relatively good picture on a TV with a DVD player? 2000? or 3000? what would you recommend?

Thanks already!
