perplexing problem with IfoEdit

This one's been a real stumper for me. I've been converting AVI files to DVD by first running them through Cucusoft's DVD Converter Pro to create the .m2v and .mpa files, then using IfoEdit to create the .BUP and .IFO files. Then I've burned the whole thing to DVD with Nero. So far, so good, and this process has worked like a charm for some time. Suddenly, however, when I open the VIDEO_TS.IFO file within InfoEdit and select "DVD Play", the resulting file will still open -- only now the sound doesn't work and an error message pops up saying "DVD Warning: The decoder does not support the new format." I also noticed that IfoEdit now thinks that all the audio streams are German, when they're not. Any ideas? Thanks, much appreciated.
