juddering picture after burn plz help !!!

Hi i have avi films that i want to put on a dvd, i`ve been through all the threads on this forum to see if anyone has same problam but cant find any. Im using TMPGEnc to convert it then using TMPGEnc Author to burn it but when it finishes and i play it back it has a very noticable judder, i`ve tried it through nero, dvdsanta, clone dvd, and many others and still get the same problem i have also tried it on another pc and still get the same problem, is it something i could be doing wrong or do i need codec`s i have installed some codec`s that people on this forum have suggested. But still no luck if anyone has any ideas please let me know as im now starting to pull my hair out!!!! P.S i have been changing the settings to pal do i need to do it to ntsc ????

Have you thought of trying different media?

What type of media are you currently using? What speed are you burning at?

I watched the movies on power dvd before i burnt them on to disc`s and it has the judder, but the movie dosen`t judder before i convert and author it?
P.S what do you mean by media ???

Alright then it's not a media issue.

Media meaning the type/brand of discs you use.
