Hi,

I've recently purchased a DVD player that supports DIVX files.

The brand name is Maraton. Of course it's just a white-label DVD.. no such real company exists.

I am trying to update the firmware so that it would support displaying sub-titles in Hebrew. It currently supports a lot of other languages but it displays hebrew letters as - (hyphen).

What can I do?
How can I locate which chip is used in the DVD and find an alternative firmware?
Is there a way to take out the firmware from the DVD and re-code it?

Here is a picture of the DVD with some specifications. Sorry, the page is in hebrew...

Thanks for any help or guide..!

Moti.
