Philips MX3700D/37S Help

I purchased a Philips MX3700D/37S DVD+surround system about a little over a year ago at Sam's Club. I have also purchased a Philips DVP642/17.

I used to be able to go to the Philips website, look up my product, and I could even get the firmware updates for my DVP642/17.
Then they did a huge website overhaul. Now they no longer have any firmware updates (not even the ones I downloaded before) for the DVP642/17. Even worse, they no longer acknowledge that they even made a MX3700D/37S. I have looked everywhere. I have gone to their support site and punched in my model number. No products. I look in their discontinued products. Not there.

Now this is my problem. My MX3700D/37S DVD+surround system is starting to have problems. The right rear speaker cuts in and out, and I was wondering if there is a firmware update to it.

Philips doesnt want to be of any help at all. I called their tech support line. After navigating those repetative voice-menus and countless hours on hold, they tell me that Philips has never made anything with a model number MX3700D/37S. That is crazy.

So the question still remains: Is there a firmware update for Philips MX3700D/37S DVD+surround system?
