After I convert the .d2v to .mpg the file is so large it wont fit on 2 discs. I merge and cut it to 70 min and it wont fit on a 74 min cdr. The file is huge. I am using the exact same instructions as in the articles section with the exception of adding "inverse telecine" filter to stop the flickering of the picture pixels. Thanks in advance.

As stated in the instructions, one VCD disc can contain 74mins of video -- if your movie is longer than 148mins, it needs more discs than two.

And 740MB file can be burned to 74min CD when burned in VCD mode -- VCD is _NOT_ a data disc and therefor can have more data than regular PC CD. Read burning instructions from here:
