hello all,

i use smartripper and flaskmpeg to make my divx files. my problem is that the resolution is 720x480. i want it more like 642x272 so i can have a higher bitrate. now what is the proper operation for doing that using the programs i'm using. everytime i try through the divx pro codec or through flaskmpeg. resizing the resolution that is....none of my divx players will read it anymore. also what does everyone use for encoding? i use the 1-pass quality but it's always a variable bitrate and i can never calculate the movie size correctly. i've tried 2-pass but that always is incompatible with my divx players. mainly media player. thanks. josh
